About Our Pastor
Rev. Darrell Nicklow
Our pastor since December of 1992 has been Rev. Darrell Nicklow. He and his wife Linda, who both grew up in southern Somerset County in Pennsylvania, have been married since 1971. They have two sons, Jason and Travis, and three grandchildren, Alivia, Luke and Bailey. Both he and Linda graduated together from Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School in 1970.
After graduation, Pastor Darrell spent one year attending California University in California Pa. As he sensed God changing his life, he enrolled in Nazarene Bible College in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and began classes there in January of 1972. He graduated in 1974 receiving the Associate of Arts degree. No Bachelor degree was available from Nazarene Bible College at the time. He was ordainned July 30, 1976 by the Pittsburgh District Church of The Nazarene. He completed his Bachelor of Religious Education Degree from Evangelical Bible College and Seminary in Greenacres, Florida. He also completeda Masters of Religious Education Degree from them, as well.
Since accepting his first pastorate in July of 1974, Pastor Nicklow has pastored six Nazarene churches in sucession in the last 42 years, all in Pennsylvania. His previous churches were in Springboro, St. Petersburg, Sharpsville, Dubois, and Homer City. He also has spent over 27 years in Radio Ministry, on four different stations, with his program being called, "God's Word For Today". Pastor Nicklow is a very evangelistic preacher who tries his best to not water down the truth of the Gospel, but to preach it as God has presented it in His Word. He believes that God called Him to preach and loves to do so! He also believes the Return of the Lord for His Church in the Rapture must be very near!
Pastor Nicklow has always had a passion for the outdoors. He has been a Life Member of the National Rifle Association for many years. He enjoys fishing and hunting very much, with a special passion for deer and pheasant hunting.
