An Open Letter To All Pastors

An Open Letter To All Pastors And Christians Everywhere Pastors, where do you stand on the issues that threaten the very moral fiber of our society? The time to speak out is now! But your silence will speak volumes. Who has not heard of what is happening with Bruce Jenner? He is a sick man who needs help and prayer. I don’t know any other word to describe him other than pity. He is so confused that after winning Olympic gold in 1976 for the decathlon and being on the cover of the “Wheaties” cereal box, and fathering six children and living his entire life as a man, that he has now announced that he is a woman. In our world he, she, or it, or whatever you call Caitlyn, as he now calls himself, is now being touted as a hero by the left wing loonies in our country. Caitlyn just became the fastest person ever to reach 1,000,000 followers on Twitter. It only took 4 hours. That just goes to show that the weirder and ungodly you are the more the world will love you! Is that what you want to be considered “normal” in the future? Meanwhile the Boy Scouts are caving and soon homosexual men will be allowed to lead Boy Scout troops. Will you trust your son or grandson to go on a weekend camping trip with a homosexual troop leader? Church, will you continue to sponsor a scout troop like that? The ACLU is also fighting to force Christian adoption agencies to place children with homosexuals. Popular speaker and heretic, Tony Campolo, is openly calling on the church to accept gay couples into the church. He recently stated, “It has taken countless hours of prayer, study, conversation and emotional turmoil to bring me to the place where I am finally ready to call for the full acceptance of Christian gay couples into the church.” Acceptance of “Christian” gay couples? I didn’t think there was such a thing! What will you want next, “Christian” prostitutes, or “Christian” drug dealers, or “Christian” pedophiles? Campolo’s words hardly come as a shocker as he has leaned this way for years and called for the acceptance of same-sex marriage long before this. Pastors, will you remain silent while these things take place? To speak out concerning them a year from now will be too late! Albert Mohler, President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, just wrote an article entitled, “Which way evangelicals? There is nowhere to hide on gay marriage?” In the article he said this: “This is a moment of decision, and every evangelical believer, congregation, denomination, and institution will have to answer. There will be no place to hide. The forces driving this revolution in morality will not allow evasion or equivocation. Every pastor, every church, and every Christian organization will soon be forced to declare an allegiance to the Scriptures and to the Bible’s teaching on marriage and sexual morality, or to affirm loyalty to the sexual revolution. That revolution did not start with same-sex marriage, and it will not end there. But marriage is the most important issue of the day, and the moment of decision has arrived.” I agree completely! I believe the homosexual issue is going to split the church right down the middle. It already is. The split will not be over baptism, speaking in tongues, eternal security, holiness, or any other issue like that, other than do you believe that what the Bible calls sin is sin? Pastor, congregation, you cannot straddle the fence and remain neutral. Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, Mennonites, Independents, Nazarenes, or Amish, or whatever you call yourself, even Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses who I consider cults, you are soon going to be forced to show your hand. You will either choose to preach that homosexuality is a sin, as the Bible declares, or choose to deny the Scriptures, and what will you have left then? But America’s pulpits have been so silent on these issues that it may already be too late. If you choose to stand for God and truth on these issues, you will be branded a hate monger, a homophobe, a bigot, unloving, and even some other things not fit to print, but stand we must! I know because I’ve been called all of those things before myself. Can you stay with your church in good conscience if it chooses to stand on the side of gay-marriage? I don’t think I could. And can you continue to support or sit under preaching that does not sound a clear call on these things? Is the thought of losing the tax exempt status for your church causing you to remain silent? If it is I believe the Bible would call you a “hireling”. You certainly don’t have to answer to me, but you will have to answer those questions for yourself and to God, but answer them you will! I hope you will make the right choice for America’s sake, and for our kid’s sake! Phillips’ translation of Romans 12: 2 says: “Don’t let the world around you squeeze you into its own mould.” It’s trying. Will you allow yourself to be squeezed? Rev.
